Here is my week 3 day 3 activity. I hope you like it.

  1. Fakalofa lahi atu Alodia,

You have chosen a native bird; the Black Robin. I can see that you have done a bit of research to understand how and where the Black Robin lives. It makes me a sad to think that these striking little birds are in trouble in the wild, but they’ve increased in number before I’m sure they can thrive and survive even more with support from our government and conservationists.

Interesting choice of super power here, I agree with you, it could definitely come in handy if you are a spy or secret agent. I’m picturing a rescue mission with you (as a secret agent) power climbing a 50 metre wall to rescue a president or prime minister from the clutches of evil…

You have created a poster with information and facts about the California Condor.
Are you certain that this condor can change its head’s colour depending on its mood? Please double check that fact, because although it is true that their heads can change colour, it is because of another reason. Please edit your presentation to include why (and when) their heads change colour.

I will be happy to award you full points for this third activity once you have done this. :)

A friendly reminder; please continue to make sure you attribute images correctly in your posts.

    Toe feiloa’i fo’i,

    Cia.

    1. Hello Cia,
Thank you for commenting on my blog. I have double checked, triple checked, and I am 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000% sure that the California condor's head turns colour from its emotions.

    2. Kia Orana Alodia,

Thank you for clarifying, after confirming it myself you are indeed right. :) I read that their head colour changes with age, but its head and neck can also change colour with heightened emotions. Very interesting, kind of like us humans! Well done on being confident and sticking to your research, he tino pai tō mahi!

      Toe feiloa'i fo'i,

      Cia.
