Summer Learning Journey
This is my week 1 day 2 SLJ activity. I hope you like it.
You are working through these activities really quickly, ka pai.
Activity 1: You have given a clear view point and set of reasons why you would want to visit Tāne Mahuta. I like that you made a bullet pointed list to share your reasons, it is clear and easy to read this way, ka mau te wehi!
Perhaps next time you could give a little more background about our mighty Kauri trees, such as threats to their livelihood. Kauri Dieback is a disease that harms our beautiful Kauri. Did you know about this disease? If not, I suggest researching it if you are really keen on visiting Tāne Mahuta or any Kauri trees in person.
One day I would like to visit Tāne Mahuta so I can see the gigantic and mighty tree up close. It has grown to be so tall and magnificent so I’d love to see it in person because a picture wouldn’t do its beauty and size much justice.
Activity 2: You have added three teams that have 'fern' in their name and pictures of their uniform for your readers to see, well done. I like that you have included the sport that each team plays in you presentation.
Remember that the activity asks you to write down which uniform you like best out of the three teams and why. I will be happy to award you full points for this activity, when you have done this.
My favourite team (and uniform) of the three is the Black Ferns, they are fit, fast and fierce out on the field. It's a joy to watch them play in their cool, sleek black uniforms. They are awesome athletes and a force to be reckoned with! Have you ever watched one of their games?
Activity 3: Wow! I can see a lot of thinking has taken place, you have used a vertical algorithm to solve this problem, also, ka pai your answer is correct! I like that you highlighted your font to make sure readers could see what you've written clearly, thanks for that.
Maybe next time you could create a 'Screencastify' to explain how you solved the problem using that vertical algorithm, they may be curious about what those little number '1's' mean. Is there another way you could have solved this problem?
